What to Know Before You Ride

  • Indoor cycling is a beat-based, instructor-led workout performed on stationary bikes. At The Collective Studios, our spin classes combine music, resistance, and choreography for a heart-pumping, full-body workout that’s as fun as it is effective.

  • Yes! Our classes are accessible for all fitness levels. Talk to our instructors before class and they’ll offer suggestions and modifications to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable ride.

    • SPD or Delta clip cycling shoes (rentals available at our studio)

    • Towel

    • Water bottle (available for purchase or fill)

    • Hydrate: If you’re cycling in the morning, drink plenty of water the night before. If your spin class is in the afternoon or evening, sip on water throughout the day so you’re well-hydrated before class. Consider adding electrolytes to your water, but don’t chug before class!

    • Arrive Early: Arriving 10-15 minutes early gives you time to get used to the shoes, adjust your bike, and meet your instructor.

    • Take It at Your Pace: Modify resistance and choreography to suit your body’s needs on any given day.
