ABOUT THE SALT CAVE
Experience the benefits of halotherapy, or dry salt therapy, inside Boston's only, custom-built Salt Cave. With walls made from pure Himalayan Salt stones softly lit to enhance their beauty, the regulation of air flow, humidity and temperature of the room causes the water from the air to be absorbed and release negative ions from the salt. This creates a negative ion environment which is what we experience at a beach, waterfall or in the mountains. These ions may have a positive effect on mood and energy.
G2O's Salt Cave is equipped with a halogenerator which heats, crushes, and disperses micro-particles of the salt into the air. When you breathe in the air, the salt absorbs allergens, toxins and foreign substances to cleanse and detoxify. The natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties of the salt may help reduce stress, provide relief for sinus and respiratory ailments such as allergies or colds and may help improve skin conditions.
ABOUT BREATHWORK
Breathwork refers to any type of breathing exercises or techniques during which intentionally change your breathing pattern. There are many forms of breathwork therapy that involve breathing in a conscious and systematic way. Breathwork reduces stress, creates feelings of openness, love, peace, gratitude, clarity, communication, and connection. Breathwork also helps release trauma or mental, physical, and emotional blocks, as well as anxiety, depression, fear, grief, and anger.
ABOUT MEDITATION
Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness. In doing so, you can gain mental clarity, emotional calm and stability, in addition to a healthy sense of perspective on yourself and your thoughts. When meditating, the goal is not to turn off your thoughts or feelings, but rather to learn to observe them without judgement. Scientifically backed benefits of meditation include: stress reduction, increased self awareness, reduction of negative emotions, increased imagination and creativity, increased patience and tolerance, anxiety management, better focus and more.
