CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


 

Our signature workout classes cater to both those who are fitness-curious and those who are looking to elevate their workouts. You’ll be guided, empowered and inspired by highly-skilled, athletic instructors who will carefully craft fitness experiences to challenge you and transform your body, mind and soul.

FLOW

Our signature, athletic approach to vinyasa yoga class. Each 60 minute class will be held in a 90-95 degree room, heated to promote a detoxifying sweat that stimulates blood circulation and increases flexibility. Vinyasa is a mindful yoga practice linking breath and movement to help you flow through each posture with intention. At Collective Studios, we turn up the volume on a traditional vinyasa practice with a slightly quicker pace and energizing transitions, all set to an invigorating playlist of songs that will have you ready to move. You’ll leave this class with a solid sweat and smile on your face, feeling spacious, inspired and uplifted. We guarantee your practice will evolve flowing with us.

CANDLELIT FLOW

Our signature FLOW class, but with a calmer pace and moodier room. In this 60 minute, heated class, you’ll practice under dim lights and amongst flickering candles to help you transition out of the everyday and onto your mat. Ease into your week and have something to look forward to on Mondays with this soothing, FLOW experience.

SUNRISE FLOW

Our signature FLOW class, but with a brighter, more energizing vibe! This 45 minute class always begins with breathing in citrus essential oil to help you feel uplifted and positive right from the onset of class. With a lighting experience that mimics a rising sun, you’ll notice how quickly feelings of sleepiness wear off as class picks up while the light increases. After a few rounds of sun salutations and a burst of core work, we’ll cool things down, take the lights back down and send you into savasana with a cool, citrus towel. This thoughtfully designed class will help you start your day feeling joyful and inspired.

ENERGY FLOW

Our signature FLOW class, but with an emphasis on dynamic movements and strength building. In this 45 minute class, you'll have the option to incorporate BALA bangles into your practice for an added challenge to your core, upper and lower body. Expect to encounter pulses, isolations, twists, jumps and more to kick up your yoga practice for maximum results. Fusing fitness with flow, this class is ideal for days when you want to practice yoga, but are looking to add a little more resistance (and sweat) to the time you spend on your mat. As always, the playlist is loud, the room is hot and the eucalyptus towels are cool at the end of class. You'll leave this class feeling toned and sleek yet spacious and content, ready to tackle any challenge the day brings your way.

This class is suitable for all levels as options for personalization will be provided. BALA bangles are optional for class and available for rent and purchase at the studio if you do not have your own pair.

CORE FUSION FLOW

A perfect pair: our signature athletic vinyasa yoga class fused with mat based, core centric exercises. CORE FUSION FLOW is an upbeat, dynamic 60 minute FLOW class with a strong emphasis on core work. In this heated class, we kick things off with a 20 minute core series on the mat, focused on building strength through your entire mid-body, and finish with an energizing breath-focused flow. As deep core activation is essential for both more advanced yoga postures and exercise, CORE FUSION FLOW provides you the foundation necessary to perform at higher levels in our other studio formats. This class is ideal for days when you want a blend of yoga and fitness. You'll leave this class feeling strong and engaged, yet grounded and refreshed.

FLOW+

Our signature FLOW class, but more playful and heart pumping! In this 60 minute, candlelit class students will explore creative yoga poses and unique sequencing with the opportunity to learn and practice arm balances and inversions -- always just an option! Each class will include a dedicated ‘play time’, where we will break from the sequence and take time to play around with more fun, unique yoga poses, including arm balances and inversions. During this time, you’ll receive hands-on support and coaching from your instructor.

FLOW+ is also taught in a 4-5 week series, with the same sequence being taught the entire series, giving you the chance to practice + acquire new skills for an entire month!

FLOW+ is a side of yoga you haven't experienced before; the music is loud to drive your breath, the room is dark to allow you to focus on yourself and the infrared heat is turned up to create a detoxing sweat. FLOW+ will show you just how fun and exciting yoga can be. You'll leave class looking forward to the next time you get to step onto your mat.

RESTORE

Rest, relax and restore. Restorative Yoga is a deeply meditative, restful and receptive (not active) yoga practice. Postures are done on the floor and are fully supported by props and held anywhere from 5-20 minutes allowing the body to deeply relax, releasing stress and tension while promoting the body’s natural ability to heal. This 60 minute, unheated class begins by leaving your day behind and quieting your mind, often using breathing techniques. You’ll then be guided through a series of poses and finally into a short closing mediation. Step out of the busy-ness of daily life and leave feeling a sense of balance and healing in your heart, mind and soul.

This class is suitable for all levels.

RELEASE

Slow down, release and come undone. This 45 minute, unheated (75-80°) class focuses on the traditional practice of Yin Yoga. Yin is a slow, mindful and meditative practice that targets the deep, connective tissue around our joints and skeletal system, called fascia. Yin is a passive practice, in contrast to vinyasa which is an active form of yoga. Postures are typically done on the floor and held for two to five minutes with the assistance of props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks. Through these extended holds, we create ample space for not only our bodies to open up but to also experience an energetic release of emotions, which are often harbored within our fascia. Focused stretching allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the entire body. At the beginning of class, you will be offered Lavender Essential Oil to offer the benefits of aromatherapy to deepen your relaxation and enhance your experience. A great addition to any exercise program, students who take this class regularly will see increased flexibility, improved sleep and better exercise performance in other classes. You’ll leave this class deeply relaxed and serene feeling a sense of calm, clarity and balance. This class is suitable for all levels.

COLLECTIVE CALM

Collective Calm is a free mid-month meditation class. Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness. In doing so, you can gain mental clarity, emotional calm and stability, in addition to a healthy sense of perspective on yourself and your thoughts. When meditating, the goal is not to turn off your thoughts or feelings, but rather to learn to observe them without judgement. Scientifically backed benefits of meditation include: stress reduction, increased self awareness, reduction of negative emotions, increased imagination and creativity, increased patience and tolerance, anxiety management, better focus and more.

SOUND BATHS

A sound bath is a form of meditation that guides listeners into a deep state of relaxation using the sounds and vibrations from instruments, most often at our studio, crystal bowls. Crystal bowls of all shapes and sizes help to lull you into a peaceful and mindful state of being, allowing you to slow your thoughts, experience less stress and cleansed with sound. The vibrational sounds also promote healing and wellness. The human body and the entire earth are made up of energy, vibrating at different frequencies. When out of rhythm, disease and disharmony result. Therefore vibrational sound healing addresses these imbalances or blockages of the energy channels. You’ll leave this experience feeling calmer, clearer and more in alignment.

TONE

A class format entirely unique to our studio, Tone is our bold and unapologetic pilates and barre hybrid class. Forget what you’ve experienced about pilates or barre classes you’ve taken in the past - this high-energy, beat based class combines body and hand weights to strategically target and isolate specific muscle groups helping you strengthen, tone and energize both your body and mind. Each 60 minute class is held in an unheated room and makes use of our studio’s custom built, music rhythmic LED lights. We guarantee you’ve never taken a pilates/barre class like this before.

This class is suitable for all levels. Options for personalization will be provided allowing you to choose to turn up or down your workout.

BURN

Strategically designed to help you build strength and refine your form, BURN is a slow repetition, weight lifting class that combines the latest innovations in group fitness to create a fiery, slow burning experience that will ignite your muscles. Part on the beat, part off the beat, this class cycles through timed segments of lifting, cardio and core work, intentionally organized to help sharpen your focus and deepen your mind-body connection. Each 45 minute class is held in a 85-90 degree room to help promote a detoxifying sweat that stimulates blood circulation, while supercharging your workout. You’ll leave this class feeling electric, stronger than ever and scorching with energy. We promise you'll never go back to lifting weights alone in the gym again.

This class is suitable for all levels. Our studio has a wide selection of weights and options will be provided by your instructor throughout class to allow you to choose to turn up or down your workout.

SCULPT

Yoga meets with strength and cardio in this high-intensity, beat based class. Each 60 minute class will be held in a 85-90 degree room, heated to promote a detoxifying sweat that stimulates blood circulation and increases flexibility, while supercharging your workout. This music-driven class will use hand weights, strength building and high-intensity bursts of cardio to deliver maximum, total body results. You’ll leave drenched in sweat, high-fiving your fellow class-goers, feeling strong, energized and confident.

This class is suitable for all levels. Options will be provided allowing you to choose to turn up or down your workout.

SCULPT ESSENTIALS

New to SCULPT or need a refresher? SCULPT Essentials is a 45-minute, unheated class designed to bring you through our traditional Sculpt class, but with a focus on foundational sequencing and detailed yoga and exercise cueing.  You can still expect a high-energy, music driven class, but in SCULPT essentials our music-rhythmic lighting will be used more sparingly to help you focus on establishing proper alignment in unweighted yoga postures and form in exercises with hand weights.  You’ll leave class feeling in control of your workout, strong, and confident to take on your next challenge.

This class is suitable for all levels (and is recommended as a prerequisite to other Sculpt classes on the schedule). Modifications will be provided allowing you to choose to turn up or down your workout.

SWEAT

Dance, celebrate and SWEAT in this high-energy, dance-inspired training class. SWEAT is a full body work[in] and celebration for all levels! This low-impact, beat based class combines dynamic dance cardio movements with sculpting exercises using light hand weights, booty bands and your own body weight to deliver a class so fun you’ll forget it’s even a workout! Each 45-minute, unheated class will have an exciting playlist of music that will have you ready and lots of options to empower all fitness levels and bodies (dance experience is NOT REQUIRED!). We’ll play, dance, and SWEAT it out together! You’ll leave this class feeling joyful, physically and mentally refreshed and ready to conquer the day!

CYCLE

Lose yourself to movement and music in our studio’s signature CYCLE class. This 45-minute indoor cycling class combines sprints, climbs and upper body strength for a journey so transformative you’ll forget you’ve been spinning on a stationary bike. CYCLE is a high-energy, yet low-impact format that takes place entirely to the beat of the music. With the expert guidance of your instructor, you’ll press, push and tap back in celebration, grit and perseverance along with your fellow riders. Our instructor’s DJ-worthy playlists paired with our studio’s music rhythmic LED lights and professional sound system create an immersive experience allowing you to easily clip in and tune out from the outside world. In that dark room, you’ll find strength as an individual and joy as a community. This isn’t just a workout; it’s the ride of a lifetime.

MEGAFORMER - NOW OPEN

Slow, controlled movements build strength, endurance and length in this high-intensity, yet low impact workout set atop Lagree Fitness’ patented Megaformer™ machine. The Megaformer™, a machine that evokes a Pilates Reformer but is far from it, uses a system of springs, pulleys and your own body weight to activate slow-twitch muscle fibers for a workout that will have your muscles quivering from head to toe. Forget what you’ve experienced in reformer based workouts - at TCS, WE MAKE Mega MOVES! Your bold and inspiring instructor will lead you through this entirely beat based class, featuring an energizing playlist of songs, set in a state-of the-art Megaformer™ studio featuring 16 machines and both natural and experiential lighting dynamics. You’ll leave this class feeling strong, sexy and humbled, but surely eager to book your next Mega!
