WHAT IS YOGA NIDRA?
Yoga Nidra translates to "sleep yoga". It is a systematic form of guided relaxation that takes you to a point just above sleep, a point where your body can experience true relaxation. Sound is important to Yoga Nidra because most people constantly deal with "mental chatter," and the auditory vibrations "distract" the mind from anxiously attaching to these sensations that come in the form of thoughts, emotions or physical sensations.
WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
A sound bath is a form of meditation that guides listeners into a deep state of relaxation using the sounds and vibrations from instruments, most often at our studio, crystal bowls. Crystal bowls of all shapes and sizes help to lull you into a peaceful and mindful state of being, allowing you to slow your thoughts, experience less stress and cleansed with sound. The vibrational sounds also promote healing and wellness. The human body and the entire earth are made up of energy, vibrating at different frequencies. When out of rhythm, disease and disharmony result. Therefore vibrational sound healing addresses these imbalances or blockages of the energy channels. You’ll leave this experience feeling calmer, clearer and more in alignment.
