ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
In this workshop you'll learn the basics of how to prepare and execute a strength-focused group exercise class. The curriculum will cover everything from how to cue concisely, sequence intelligently, make a genuinely amazing playlist, and much more. Participants will gain appreciation and knowledge that will help current instructors, hopeful instructors, or class goers looking to delve deeper into their own strength training.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The Intro to Strength: Instructor Workshop is designed to appeal to both trained instructors, those interested in beginning a fitness instruction career and anyone who loves these dynamic formats as is interested in expanding their knowledge of SCULPT + BURN. Groups of people who would benefit from this workshop include:
· Group fitness instructors
· Yoga instructors
· Personal trainers & coaches
· Instructor candidates
· SCULPT + BURN fans
· Fitness enthusiasts
Recommended to have taken at least 5 strength classes at The Collective Studios. *200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate is preferred if opting in for the SCULPT portion of the workshop. If you are not opting to take the SCULPT portion of the workshop 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate is not required.
CURRICULUM
Intro to Strength: Instructor Workshop is a 17-hour course that will cover the below topics:
· Instructing to the Beat of the Music
· Basic Yoga & Exercise Cueing
· Yoga & Exercise Breath
· Proper Exercise Alignment
· Weight Selection & Safety
· Yoga Posture Alignment
· Foundational Sequencing
· Basic Anatomy
· Intro to Hands-on Assists
· How to Make Your Class Stand Out
